This established healthcare provider delivers specialist healthcare services across secure and custodial environments, supporting patients through the delivery of safe, effective and responsive care. With a strong focus on operational excellence, service quality and continuous improvement, the organisation works closely with a range of public sector stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of a complex healthcare contract, providing strategic and operational leadership while driving service performance, workforce engagement and contractual success.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
*Taking full accountability for the leadership and operational management of a healthcare services contract, ensuring contractual obligations and performance targets are consistently achieved
*Leading and supporting clinical and operational management teams to deliver safe, effective and high-quality patient care
*Acting as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders, developing strong partnerships and maintaining effective communication channels
*Providing visible leadership across the service, fostering a positive culture aligned with organisational values and operational objectives
*Ensuring workforce planning strategies are implemented effectively to achieve staffing and rota fulfilment targets
*Developing and delivering proactive recruitment initiatives to attract and retain high-quality healthcare professionals
*Driving the successful delivery of all operational and clinical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
*Producing detailed management information and performance reports to support contract management and business decision-making
*Managing contract governance processes, ensuring all contractual documentation remains accurate, compliant and appropriately maintained
*Leading staff engagement initiatives to improve performance, productivity, wellbeing and employee satisfaction
What You Will Need To Apply:*Significant senior leadership experience gained within a complex operational environment
*Demonstrable experience in contract management, operational leadership and stakeholder relationship management
*Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and delivering financial performance objectives
*Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high levels of operational performance
*Proven ability to influence, motivate and develop teams within matrix and multi-site environments
*Experience managing organisational change, transformation programmes and service improvement initiatives
*Strong understanding of governance, compliance and regulatory requirements
*Experience developing and monitoring operational processes, policies and service delivery frameworks
*Proven ability to analyse performance data and utilise management information to support decision-making
*Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
*Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
*High levels of resilience, accountability and professional judgement
*Strong IT literacy and experience working with operational reporting systems
*Experience managing services with significant operational budgets and financial accountability would be advantageous
*Experience working across multiple locations and managing geographically dispersed teams would be beneficial
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required
