A highly regarded Central London Local Authority is seeking an Insurance Claims Officer to join their specialist Insurance & Risk team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience across insurance claims, legal support, housing claims, investigations or dispute resolution who are looking to build a long-term career within a supportive public sector environment.
The organisation is committed to training and development, with clear progression opportunities into Senior Insurance Officer level.
Key Responsibilities*Investigating liability and insurance claims

*Managing housing, highways and personal injury claims

*Assessing acceptance or denial of legal liability

*Gathering evidence and witness statements

*Liaising with solicitors, claimants and third parties

*Handling MOJ portal claims

*Supporting litigation and court preparation

*Maintaining accurate claims databases and records

Candidate Requirements*Previous experience within insurance claims, legal support, investigations, housing claims or dispute resolution

*Strong communication and negotiation skills

*Excellent attention to detail and organisation

*Ability to work accurately under pressure

*Strong stakeholder management skills

*Genuine interest in claims handling and law

Desirable Experience*Liability claims handling

*Local authority or public sector exposure

*MOJ portal knowledge

*Insurance or legal background
