This is a senior-level role for an experienced policy lawyer to lead on complex enforcement-related legal and policy matters. You’ll head up a specialist team within a multidisciplinary enforcement division, shaping the policies, frameworks, and strategies that underpin major investigations and regulatory action.

Description
*Lead and develop a team of lawyers delivering critical policy and legal workstreams linked to complex enforcement cases
*Provide expert legal and policy advice to support investigation teams on high-profile matters
*Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enforcement policies and procedures
*Collaborate with government departments, regulatory bodies, and external partners
*Manage relationships with key stakeholders and represent the organisation in cross-agency discussions
*Instruct and work closely with external counsel on complex or high-risk matters
*Deliver internal training and contribute to organisational capability building
Profile
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with significant post-qualification experience in the UK (10+ PQE).
Key skills and experience include:
*Strong expertise in public law, regulatory frameworks, and policy development
*Experience working with or alongside regulators, enforcement bodies, or prosecuting authorities
*Proven leadership experience, including managing or mentoring legal teams
*Knowledge of data protection and information law is advantageous
