Full job descriptionInterim Financial Controller
Location: Leicester (3 days on-site, hybrid) Contract: Until the end of 2026
Step in as the right-hand to the Group Financial Controller for a listed, multi-site organisation.
This is a highly hands-on, detail-first role.
What you’ll lead and deliver:
*Step into partially defined processes and establish clear ways of working.
*Balance sheet integrity: own reconciliations, controls, and group reporting support.
*Reporting backbone: support consolidations, statutory reporting, and close out audit queries.
*Technical authority: provide guidance on complex areas, including IFRS 16 and related standards.
*Work closely with a junior team
*Assist ERP/process activity, data validation, and alignment across sites.
*Unblock issues quickly to protect timelines and reporting accuracy.
*Confidence in the numbers: rebuild consistency and credibility ahead of year-end.
About you:
*Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
*Experience in financial control and reporting (including IFRS 16).
*Proven in complex, fast-paced, or multi-site environments—calm under ambiguity.
*Strong on audit support and technical accounting.
*Comfortable getting into the details while providing clear day-to-day leadership.
*Track record supporting ERP or system change (useful)
