Full job descriptionInterim Group Financial Controller Location: Burton (3 days on-site)
Contract: c.4 months Salary: £80,000–£100,000
Distinct is partnering with a high-growth, fast-moving business to appoint an Interim Group Financial Controller. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership from day one—perfect for someone who can steady the ship and sharpen controls.
What you’ll own
· Group financial control and reporting: deliver accurate, timely numbers and tighten balance sheet integrity
· Team leadership: set the pace, coach day-to-day, and be the reliable senior presence the team can lean on.
· Process improvement
· Work closely with AP, Management Accounts, Treasury, and Finance Assistants to keep things running smoothly.
About you
· Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
· A background ideally working in complex environments, PE-backed would be preferable
· Genuinely hands-on—comfortable operating at a detail level while leading from the front.
· Proven team manager with a calm, practical style in fast-paced, changing environments.
· Strong process mindset—able to quickly grasp how things work and add value without complexity.
