Full job descriptionAzure Architect – Sitecore & DevSecOpsOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Azure Architect with strong Sitecore and DevSecOps expertise to support the delivery and evolution of enterprise-grade digital platforms within a highly regulated environment.
This role will focus on designing secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure while driving best practice architecture, DevSecOps maturity, platform resilience, and secure delivery standards across complex digital ecosystems.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, security, infrastructure, and delivery teams to modernise platforms and ensure solutions align with governance, compliance, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities*Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure
*Lead architecture decisions across Sitecore-based digital platforms
*Define and implement DevSecOps best practices across CI/CD pipelines
*Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, resilience, and governance standards
*Support infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code approaches
*Collaborate with security teams to embed secure-by-design principles
*Drive cloud optimisation, performance improvement, and operational excellence
*Provide architectural leadership across platform modernisation initiatives
*Produce high-level and low-level design documentation
*Support stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams
Required Experience*Strong experience designing enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure
*Proven experience with Sitecore implementations and architecture
*Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within enterprise environments
*Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
*Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or similar tooling
*Knowledge of cloud security, identity, governance, and compliance frameworks
*Experience working within highly regulated environments
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
*Experience delivering complex enterprise transformation programmes
Desirable Skills*Experience with AKS / Kubernetes
*Experience with Sitecore XM Cloud or headless architectures
*Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles
*Familiarity with OWASP and secure development practices
*Microsoft Azure certifications
*Experience within financial services or public sector organisations
