Full job descriptionWe are currently partnering with a public sector organisation based in the West Midlands who are recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join their team on an initial six month period with a strong possibility of a permanent position.

This role can either be part timeat 29.6 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days) or full time (37 hours per week) and is suitable for hybrid working with office presence in Warwickshire expected twice per week. The hourly rate is c.£29.50 per hour Umbrella.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Developing and regularly reviewing a procurement strategy and associated policies and procedures
*Supporting the delivery of a complex and varied procurement pipeline including the preparation of supplier events, tender documents, management of bidder clarifications, evaluation and moderation sessions
*Ensuring our activity achieves real impact by embedding robust governance, compliance and risk management while also looking for opportunities to innovate and add value
*Driving process development; incorporating the latest policy changes and legislation
*Supporting and providing specialist advice to colleagues across the organisation with the contract management module in Intend
*Assisting in the maintenance of the Contract Register
*Undertaking spend analysis of procurement activity on a quarterly basis and helping develop proposals for improving cost effective procurement
*Responsible for the corporate e-tendering and attending joint meetings
*Providing appropriate expertise, training and advice to officers
*Responding to Freedom of Information requests
*Assisting in the maintenance of the website pages for procurement
Experience required:
*Experience working under the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR 2015 is desirable
*Experience in social housing is desired
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
*CIPS qualified or working towards this qualification is preferable
Working hours:
*29.6 hours (over four or five days) or 37 hours per week
*Monday - Friday
