Rudheath, Northwich (CW9)
Salary: £28,000 – £29,800 per annum (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - rotating shifts
*2 Days: 7:00am – 7:00pm
*2 Nights: 7:00pm – 7:00am
Breaks: 4 x 30-minute breaks per 12-hour shift
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for Bakery Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced production environment within the Morning Goods and Slicing departments at the Northwich site.
Previous bakery production experience is desirable; however, candidates with experience within FMCG or fast-moving manufacturing environments will also be considered. Full training will be provided.
This role involves manual handling, operating within a production environment, and working as part of a team to meet production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
*Follow daily production plans and work instructions
*Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
*Ensure production deadlines and targets are achieved
*Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping ("clean as you go")
*Complete production paperwork accurately and report any issues or non-conformances
*Maintain food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards
*Adhere to all SOPs, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
*Work safely and responsibly at all times
*Maintain awareness of staff and machinery within the working area
*Follow manual handling procedures correctly
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*Previous experience within an FMCG or production/manufacturing environment
*Good communication skills, both verbal and written
*Strong attention to detail
*Flexible and reliable approach to work
*Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes
*Comfortable working within a physically demanding role
Desirable:
*Previous bakery or food production experience
*Experience working within high-volume manufacturing environments
