Full job descriptionWe are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our waste and recycling collection team based in Stowmarket. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for carrying out refuse and recycling collections safely, efficiently, and professionally while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections
*Operate machinery and vehicles safely with a good understanding of all aspects of the machinery in the role
*Professionally undertake all duties using safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to items presented for collection
*Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as required
*Complete all relevant paperwork and reporting in real time
*Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections before and after use
*Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles and machinery
*Maintain excellent customer and client relations, including interactions with members of the public and other road users
*Assist refuse loaders on rounds to ensure routes are completed within service level agreements
What You’ll Need to Succeed
*Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
*Driver CPC qualification
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Self-motivated with a positive attitude
*Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks as part of the team
*Ability to support loaders and work collaboratively to complete routes efficiently
*A clean driving licence is desirable
