Full job descriptionYou know those small moments, a breakthrough, a smile, a calm transition, they matter. This role is full of them.
We’re looking for a patient and understanding Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism in a specialist setting. You’ll play a key part in creating a structured, predictable environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and able to engage in their learning.
What you’ll be doing
*Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
*Helping with routines, transitions, and sensory needs
*Using clear communication and visual strategies
*Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
*Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
What we’re looking for
*Experience with autism or SEND, or a real passion to build it
*A calm, consistent approach, even on the trickier days
*Someone who notices the small wins and celebrates them
*Strong teamwork and communication skills

*Ongoing support from a consultant who fully understands SEN
*Access to a range of specialist settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
