A growing boutique law firm in North London is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to take full ownership of its finance function across multiple offices. Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Head of Finance role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial management in a busy legal environment.
*The Head of Finance will act as COFA, ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, while overseeing all core finance operations including legal cashiering, VAT, payroll liaison, reconciliations, banking, and year-end audit processes.
*The role also includes preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and providing commercial insight to support partner decision-making.
A key focus of the Head of Finance position will be building and transitioning the finance function in-house from an outsourced model, alongside improving systems, controls, and reporting processes. The role also involves leading and developing the finance team to ensure strong performance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior finance professional with strong law firm experience, solid knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules, and the ability to operate effectively in both a strategic and hands-on capacity within a growing and evolving firm.
