Full job descriptionAn established professional services business is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to provide additional support during a busy finance period, with a particular focus on audit preparation, reconciliations and wider finance operations.
This is a broad and varied role suited to somebody who can quickly adapt to a new environment, work independently and support multiple finance priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities*Support preparation for the external audit process
*Coordinate audit requests and supporting documentation
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
*Assist with month-end close activities
*Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments
*Support financial controls and process documentation
*Assist with reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
*Work closely with stakeholders across the business
*Support ongoing finance improvement projects
Candidate Profile*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or strong QBE background
*Previous experience supporting year-end audit activity
*Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
*Strong Excel capability including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and data analysis
*Hands-on and proactive approach
*Able to work independently and quickly understand processes
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Experience within professional services environments beneficial
