Full job descriptionGraduate Teaching AssistantTrain to Teach in an Ofsted Outstanding Catholic Secondary SchoolAre you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on classroom experience before training to become a teacher?
An Ofsted Outstanding Catholic secondary school is seeking ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join the team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching, education, or pastoral support.
You will work closely with experienced teachers and senior staff, supporting students across lessons, intervention groups, and wider school life while developing the skills needed for teacher training.
Subjects AvailableWe are particularly interested in graduates with degrees in:
*English
*Maths
*History
*Geography
*Art
*Design Technology
*Drama
*PE
The Role*Support students within classroom lessons
*Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions
*Assist with behaviour management and student engagement
*Gain valuable school-based experience ahead of teacher training
*Work alongside experienced teaching and pastoral staff
Ideal Candidate*UK graduate (2:2 or above preferred)
*Passionate about education and working with young people
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Confident, proactive, and professional
*Considering a future career in teaching
