Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Start Date: May Half Term
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Zest Education is proud to be working with a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to support across Year 5 and Year 6. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and wants to make a meaningful impact as they prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
*Support teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6.
*Deliver targeted small-group interventions and 1:1 support, including SATs preparation.
*Assist with core subjects such as reading, writing, and maths.
*Help maintain a focused, positive, and well-organised classroom environment.
*Support behaviour management, classroom routines, and wider school activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
*Has experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally in upper KS2.
*Is confident supporting learning in Years 5 and 6.
*Communicates clearly and builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
*Shows resilience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
*Is committed to full-time, long-term work and helping pupils achieve their best.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
