Are you passionate about supporting children and families to thrive? Join NCHA as a Children’s Worker in Derbyshire, delivering high-quality childcare and family support services within our WISH domestic abuse support project.
This is a rewarding, community-based role where you will support children aged 0–16, who have experienced or been impacted by domestic abuse, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered. About the Role
As a Children’s Worker, you will:
*Plan, organise and deliver engaging activities for children aged 0–16, supporting their development and wellbeing
*Provide practical and emotional support to children and their parents
*Develop and review individual support plans, tailored to each child’s needs
*Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service
*Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and compliance standards
*Carry out risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding processes, including attending meetings where required
*Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all families
This is a community-based childcare role, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (with business insurance) is essential.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
*Qualified to Level 3 NVQ in Childcare/Play, NNEB or equivalent (or working towards)
*Experienced in childcare, play work, or family support roles
*Knowledgeable in safeguarding and child protection procedures
*Passionate about supporting diverse communities and committed to NCHA’s CLEAR values
*Organised, compassionate, and confident working independently and as part of a team
