Full job descriptionAre you building your career in accountancy and looking for a role where you can grow, learn, and make a real contribution from day one? This is a great opportunity to join an established general practice in Bexhill-on-Sea, supporting a close-knit team in a varied and hands-on accounts assistant role.
Working directly with the Practice Manager, you’ll play an important part in keeping the day-to-day running of the practice on track. Developing your technical skills in a supportive environment with clear scope to progress.
What you’ll be doing
*Supporting the team with bookkeeping and accounts preparation tasks
*Assisting with client work across a range of general practice assignments
*Maintaining accurate financial records and processing data efficiently
*Managing your own workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
*Liaising with clients and colleagues in a professional manner
What we’re looking for
*Minimum 12 months’ experience in an accountancy practice setting
*Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes
*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
*Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
*Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade A–C, including Maths and English
*Reliable, organised, and punctual with a positive attitude
*Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

*Salary: £25,000+ FTE, depending on experience
*Hours: minimum 22.5 hours per week across 3 days
