Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join a globally recognised British brand on a short-term contract during a period of growth and transformation. This key leadership role will oversee financial control across an international group, drive process improvements, enhance reporting standards, and support strategic initiatives, including ERP implementation, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
This is a key leadership role within the finance function, responsible for delivering strong financial control across a complex international group while leading the ongoing development of global transactional finance operations. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will play a central role in driving process improvement, enhancing financial reporting standards, and supporting strategic change initiatives, including ERP system development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead the global transactional finance function, ensuring robust financial control, accuracy, and compliance across multiple regions
*Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
*Partner closely with senior finance leadership to support accurate and timely group reporting in line with IFRS and listed company standards
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
*Support the rollout and optimisation of ERP systems, ensuring strong controls and alignment with group finance policies
*Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing audit processes across UK and international entities
*Lead and develop a large finance team, creating a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
*Provide technical accounting guidance and commercial financial insight to support wider business decision-making
*Build strong relationships across departments to ensure finance operates as a trusted and value-adding business partner
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified finance professional with significant leadership experience gained within a large, complex, or listed organisation. You will combine strong technical expertise with a proactive and collaborative leadership style, alongside the ability to lead teams through change and transformation.
You will bring:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
*Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a global or listed business
*Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, and technical accounting
*Experience leading transactional finance functions and driving operational improvements
*A track record of successfully managing and developing large teams
*Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
*Experience within retail, consumer, or fast-paced commercial environments would be advantageous
