Location: Bristol / Hybrid
Salary: Up to £43,000
Benefits: Hybrid working, typically 2–3 days per week in the office
About the Company:
A leading global insurance and risk advisory business is looking to appoint a Client Service Advisor within its commercial risk team. The firm works with mid-market, national and multinational clients across a wide range of sectors, offering strong technical support, structured training and access to more complex commercial insurance work. The current live brief is aligned to a large mid-market commercial risk team in Bristol.
Role Summary:
This is a client-facing commercial insurance role suited to someone who enjoys broking, technical cover discussions and building client relationships rather than being heavily focused on administration. With a pod-based structure and offshore support in place, much of the admin is removed, allowing you to spend more time supporting clients, handling renewals, queries, MTAs and getting involved in placements.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage a broad commercial client portfolio: Work across varied mid-market and commercial risks rather than being restricted to one product line
*Handle renewals, MTAs and client queries: Build strong technical knowledge while supporting clients through key policy changes
*Advise across multiple commercial lines: Gain exposure to property, liability, cyber, D&O and wider commercial covers
*Work closely with internal broking and support teams: Benefit from a pod-based structure with admin support already in place
*Speak directly with clients: Develop confidence in client conversations and become a trusted point of contact
*Support placements and technical insurance discussions: Move away from process-heavy admin and into more meaningful insurance work
Requirements:
*Commercial insurance experience within an Account Handler, Client Service Advisor or similar role
*Exposure to a broad book of commercial business, ideally including property, liability, cyber or D&O
*Comfortable dealing directly with clients by phone and email
*Able to manage renewals, MTAs and policy queries with limited day-to-day coaching
*Strong understanding of commercial insurance covers beyond basic SME risks
*Interest in developing within larger commercial or mid-market insurance
