*Oversee the organisation’s tax compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and deadlines.
*Provide expert advice on tax matters, including VAT, corporation tax, and payroll taxes.
*Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimise financial outcomes.
*Manage relationships with external tax advisors and relevant authorities.
*Ensure accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns and associated documentation.
*Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
*Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance on tax implications for various projects and initiatives.
*Lead and mentor a team to foster professional development and high performance.
Profile
A successful Head of Tax should have:
*Relevant professional qualifications in Accounting or Taxation (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA).
*Proven expertise in managing tax compliance and advisory functions.
*Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly in the Not For Profit sector.
*Experience in liaising with tax authorities and external advisors.
*Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
*Proficiency in analysing and interpreting complex financial information.
