Full job descriptionA well-established and highly regarded organisation in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Sales & Events Administrator to join their team. They are seeking a candidate who is personable, bubbly, highly organised, and confident when it comes to chasing payments or managing expectations professionally when required.
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, particularly during the summer season when the business is at its busiest. We’re looking for a proactive administrator who is confident managing customer relationships, coordinating events, and keeping on top of invoicing and operational administration.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing all customer enquiries via phone and email
*Handling event enquiries including show rounds, quotations, and bookings
*Generating both proactive and reactive sales opportunities
*Coordinating all event administration from booking through to completion
*Issuing contracts, confirmations, invoices, and chasing overdue payments
*Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey
*Supporting schedules, staff rotas, reservations, and stock counts
*Liaising with operational teams to ensure smooth event delivery
*Assisting on event days to ensure seamless execution
*Attending meetings, taking minutes, and communicating actions
*Occasionally covering Front Desk duties and serving customers
*Supporting the wider marketing activities of the business
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience within business administration, events, hospitality, or sales support
*Strong administrative and organisational skills
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Confident multitasker with strong attention to detail
*Customer service focused with a positive and approachable personality
*Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
*Commercially minded with a proactive approach
*Confident using computer systems and software
*Comfortable chasing invoices and managing situations assertively when needed
