The role
As Senior NPD Technologist, you will play a key role within the development team, supporting the creation and launch of innovative products from concept through to market. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives on creativity, problem-solving and delivering commercially viable solutions.

Key responsibilities include:*Leading product and recipe development from initial concept through to factory launch
*Adapting recipes for scale-up and ensuring suitability for manufacturing processes
*Coordinating trials, first productions and continuous improvement activities
*Writing and managing product specifications and maintaining technical documentation
*Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers and customers
*Supporting customer presentations and responding to briefs from major retailers
*Ensuring all developments meet food safety, legal and quality standards (including BRC and HACCP)
*Contributing to ongoing innovation and keeping up to date with market trends and legislation

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects in a dynamic environment, with strong exposure to customers and the full product lifecycle. There is also genuine scope to develop into a broader or more senior position as the business continues to grow.
The Candidate

Key requirements:*Proven experience within food manufacturing or product development
*Proven hands-on experience in product and recipe development
*Strong understanding of end-to-end NPD processes
*Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP and BRC
*Experience working with retailer or customer-led projects is advantageous
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
*Confident communicator, comfortable presenting ideas to customers and stakeholders
