Full job descriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Post Completion Administrator to join a growing, technology-driven law firm. This is a key role within the Residential Conveyancing team, responsible for managing all post-completion processes and supporting the firm’s compliance and audit functions.
This position is ideal for someone highly organised, detail-focused and confident working in a compliance-driven environment.
Role OverviewYou will handle all post-completion matters across purchases, sales, transfers of equity and re-mortgages, ensuring accurate submissions, timely responses and full compliance with SRA, lender and internal requirements. The role also includes conducting structured file audits and supporting the firm’s regulatory obligations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPost Completion Work
*Managing all post-completion matters for residential property transactions (purchases, sales, transfers, re-mortgages).
*Preparing, checking and submitting Land Registry applications (AP1, FR1, etc.).
*Responding to Land Registry requisitions promptly and effectively.
*Ensuring correct registration of titles, charges and restrictions.
*Liaising with lenders to meet post-completion and panel requirements.
*Monitoring post-completion diaries and deadlines.
*Ensuring undertakings are satisfied and recorded.
*Instructing accounts to reconcile and refund residual balances.
*Closing files in line with internal procedures.
File Audit & Compliance
*Conducting regular audits of open and closed conveyancing files.
*Reviewing files against SRA Accounts Rules, Code of Conduct, lender handbook requirements and internal risk frameworks.
*Identifying compliance issues, risks and training needs.
*Preparing clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
*Working with fee earners and management to resolve audit points.
*Maintaining audit logs and compliance records.
Key Skills & Experience*3–5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing post-completion.
*Strong working knowledge of Land Registry procedures and lender requirements.
*Experience handling requisitions and complex registrations.
*Previous file audit or compliance experience (highly desirable).
*Excellent accuracy, organisation and time-management skills.
*Ability to manage high-volume workloads and strict deadlines.
*Proficient in case management systems (LawLink experience advantageous).
Personal Attributes*Methodical and process-driven.
*Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
*Commercially aware with good risk sensitivity.
*Confident communicator with fee earners, lenders and regulators.
*Able to work independently and collaboratively.
