Full job descriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.


Summary of the Transport Planner role
Salary: Competitive
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
Responsibilities of theTransport Planner
*Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods with excellent nationwide knowledge of road networks
*Help build runs for the general drivers
*Print and collate all driver’s paperwork
*Ensure drivers remain compliant
*Collaborate with internal teams
*Monitor and track drivers to ensure on-time delivery
*Maintain accurate records
*Communicate with drivers, carriers and customers to address any issues or concerns
Requirements for a successful Transport Planner
* Strong communication skills customer service skills
* Strong geographical knowledge
* Strong interest in transport planning and a willingness to develop knowledge in the field
* Ability to be flexible
* Good problem-solving skills
* Full driving license with own transport is advantageous
