An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading global professional services firm within its Private and Mid-Market Corporate Tax team, based in Reading.
This team works with a diverse portfolio of clients including owner-managed businesses, multi-generational family groups, PE-backed companies, and AIM-listed organisations. Clients operate across all stages of the business lifecycle, from high-growth start-ups through to established international groups.
The role offers a balanced mix of advisory and compliance work, including M&A structuring and due diligence, exit and succession planning, group reorganisations, international expansion, and ongoing corporate tax compliance and reporting.
You will take ownership of complex engagements, overseeing delivery across both advisory and compliance streams while ensuring high-quality output and strong client service. You will also play a key role in building and maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional work, and contributing to business development and networking activity across the local market.
A significant part of the role involves leadership—mentoring and developing junior team members, supporting their technical and commercial growth, and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CA or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with strong corporate tax experience gained in practice or industry. You will bring excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in tax accounting and exposure to advisory projects is highly desirable.
