The Corporate Solicitor in Tonbridge, Kent will be trusted with a broad and interesting caseload from the outset, advising entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporates, banks, and high net worth individuals. The role offers a salary of £60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience, hybrid working, annual bonus, private healthcare, matched employer pension contributions up to 5%, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown, and paid parking.
Role Responsibilities
The Corporate Solicitor will be based in Tonbridge, Kent and will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of corporate and commercial matters. The day to day responsibilities within this role include:
*Advising on mergers and acquisitions, including both buy side and sell side transactions
*Acting for entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporates, banks, and high net worth individuals
*Advising on private equity transactions and shareholder agreements
*Drafting and negotiating company constitutional documents, investment agreements, and commercial documentation
*Advising on EMI share option plans and management equity plans
*Supporting clients with restructuring and insolvency related matters
*Advising on family investment companies and corporate structures for succession and estate planning purposes
*Handling strategic acquisitions across sectors including healthcare, IT, security, property, retail, veterinary services, leisure, and funeral services
*Managing your own caseload with appropriate support from senior colleagues
*Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused advice to clients
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships
*Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Corporate team
Person Specification
The successful Corporate Solicitor will be based in Tonbridge, Kent and will have at least 5 plus years PQE in corporate law. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
*Qualified Solicitor with strong corporate law experience
*Strong technical knowledge across mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, private equity, and corporate advisory work
*Experience advising owner managed businesses, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and larger corporate clients
*A commercially minded and solutions focused approach
*Confidence managing your own caseload effectively
*Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A proactive approach to business development and client relationship building
