If you’re considering a future in teaching and want to gain meaningful experience in the classroom, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a full-time role supporting secondary school students in a dynamic North London school.
The Opportunity:Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic French Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in MFL lessons. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Your Role Will Involve:*Assisting teachers in delivering engaging French lessons

*Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision

*Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

*Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key concepts

*Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment

What We’re Looking For:*A degree in French or a closely related subject

*A genuine interest in working with young people and in education

*Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work

*A confident communicator with good organisational skills

*A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
