Aerospace Metal Forming OperativeLocation: Sheffield
Salary: £30,793.38
Shifts: Rotating mornings and afters shifts
Duties & Responsibilities*Forming sheet metal components to engineering and customer specifications
*Performing operations using hand tools including riveting, drilling, and planishing
*Operating and using hand-held and air-powered tools safely and effectively
*Ensuring products are manufactured to the correct tolerances and meet both customer and internal quality standards, including NADCAP and AS9100 requirements
*Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
*Carrying out quality checks and inspections throughout the manufacturing process
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures
*Working collaboratively with production and quality teams to achieve production targets and maintain high standards
Skills & Experience Required*Previous experience within metal forming, sheet metal, or aerospace manufacturing environments
*Confident using hand tools and air-powered tools within a production setting
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
*Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards
*Experience working to aerospace standards such as NADCAP or AS9100 would be advantageous
*Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
*Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team
