An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resource Manager to join a highly regarded law firm within a newly created resourcing function.


Following the success of an existing resource management model within another practice area, the firm is now investing in building out a dedicated function for Litigation & Dispute Resolution. This is a genuine greenfield opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and shaping processes from the ground up.


The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for resourcing across the Dispute Resolution team, partnering closely with Partners and Associates to ensure effective work allocation, utilisation, and fee-earner development.


This role would suit an individual who is highly relationship-driven, confident "walking the floor," and passionate about creating an impactful and collaborative resourcing function.


Key Responsibilities
*Lead on work allocation and utilisation management across the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice
*Act as the neutral point of contact for all resourcing requests
*Balance client needs with internal capabilities and capacity
*Build strong relationships with Partners, Associates, and wider business support teams
*Monitor utilisation levels and interpret data to support effective resourcing decisions
*Collaborate with senior stakeholders to refine and improve resourcing processes
*Support forecasting and future resource planning across the practice area
*Produce regular utilisation and management reporting
*Take a proactive, solution-focused approach to challenges and workflow management


Candidate Profile
*Previous Resource Management experience within Litigation and/or Dispute Resolution is essential
*Strong understanding of fee-earner utilisation and workflow allocation
*Commercially aware with strong analytical and decision-making skills
*Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
*Proactive, adaptable, and keen to help shape a developing function
*Genuine interest in legal operations and fee-earner development
