Toolmaker - Sheffield - Days OnlyWe are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Toolmaker to join a well-established engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual looking for a permanent day-shift role within a precision manufacturing environment.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture, maintenance, repair, and modification of precision tooling, working to high engineering standards across a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities*Manufacture and maintain precision tooling components
*Carry out precision grinding and machining operations
*Operate EDM spark erosion and wire erosion machinery
*Read and interpret engineering drawings
*Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
*Support tooling improvements and breakdown repairs where required
Requirements*Engineering qualification essential - ideally Toolmaking or Mechanical Engineering
*Strong background in precision engineering and machining
*Experience with:*Conventional machining
*Precision grinding
*EDM spark erosion
*Wire erosion

*Previous experience within either:*Press tooling, or
*Plastic injection mould tooling

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*High attention to detail and quality
