A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a junior Commercial Solicitor to join a leading Legal 150 law firm in Nottingham as part of its growing Commercial team.
This role is ideal for an NQ–4 PQE lawyer looking to build strong technical commercial contracts experience within a highly supportive and development-focused environment. The team handles excellent quality work and offers the chance to work closely with experienced senior lawyers and partners who are genuinely invested in developing junior talent.
The firm has an exceptional junior lawyer development programme, with structured mentoring, training, and hands-on support designed to help accelerate your career progression and confidence as a commercial lawyer.
Importantly, the firm also places a genuine emphasis on work-life balance, offering realistic chargeable hour targets of just 5 hours per day, full administrative support, and direct partner access to ensure junior lawyers are supported rather than overstretched.
The role will involve:
• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
• Agency, distribution, franchising, and manufacturing agreements
• Procurement, outsourcing, consultancy, and IT agreements
• Software licensing and hosting agreements
• Intellectual property and brand-related commercial matters
• Construction agreements
• Supporting on selected corporate matters including joint ventures, shareholder agreements, investments, and EMI schemes


What they are looking for:


• NQ–4 PQE solicitor with commercial experience
• Strong interest in commercial contracts work
• Some corporate experience would be advantageous but not essential
• A commercially minded lawyer who enjoys variety and high-quality work
• Someone looking to develop long-term within a collaborative team
