Location: Doncaster - Hybrid 3 days on site
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000

We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to join a busy operational business in a broad, hands-on role with real visibility across the organisation.
This role is about being close to the business, building strong relationships with managers, supporting employees day to day, and making sure HR processes, employee relations and people practices are running effectively across the site.
You’ll take ownership of the HR function, acting as a trusted point of contact for managers while supporting a wide range of HR activity across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, reporting and people and payroll processes.
Key responsibilities:*Acting as the main HR contact for managers and employees across the site
*Managing employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, absence management and welfare meetings
*Supporting managers with practical, commercially focused HR advice
*Drafting HR documentation including letters, outcomes and formal correspondence
*Supporting recruitment activity, onboarding and induction processes
*Ensuring HR systems, employee records and reporting are accurate and up to date
*Coordinating probation reviews, appraisals and training administration
*Producing HR reports and supporting people data analysis
*Overseeing payroll preparation and checking outsourced payroll submissions for accuracy
*Supporting continuous improvement across HR processes and procedures
*Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policy and GDPR requirements
What we’re looking for:*Previous experience in a standalone or generalist HR Manager role
*Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing cases independently
*Experience supporting managers within a fast-paced operational environment
*Comfortable balancing day-to-day HR delivery with process improvement
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Good working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
*A practical, approachable and hands-on style
This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible in the business, building credibility with managers and employees, and being trusted to handle a broad mix of operational HR responsibilities.
