We are seeking a motivated Debt Recovery Assistant to join a thriving and growing business based in Shipley, Bradford. As a Debt Recovery Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing overdue accounts and working closely with customers to agree fair and sustainable payment plans. The role involves negotiating solutions, liaising with internal departments, and providing sensitive support to vulnerable customers, all while ensuring debt recovery is handled professionally, ethically, and in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:*Managing and resolving overdue customer accounts

Communicating with customers to agree suitable repayment arrangements

*Negotiating outcomes that balance customer needs and business objectives

*Liaising with internal teams to support account resolution

*Allocating cash onto ledgers in an efficient manner

*Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Candidate Requirements:*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Strong listening skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding

*Confident negotiation and conflict resolution abilities

*Experience in credit control or debt recovery is desirable, but not essential

*Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused
