Full job descriptionTitle: Team Leader - Recovery worker and Substance misuse experience required Location: N15 6HR
Pay Rate: £20 per hour
Contract: Ongoing
Reporting to: Service Manager
Role PurposeThe Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with contractual, clinical, and statutory requirements. The role involves leading a team to deliver effective support services while maintaining best practice standards and promoting organisational values.
Key ResponsibilitiesService Delivery & Quality
*Ensure the development and delivery of the service meets contractual requirements
*Maintain high standards of clinical practice within the service
*Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
*Monitor and meet quality assurance and performance targets
*Ensure accurate record keeping, data collection, and reporting
Leadership & Team Management
*Provide strong leadership and direction to the team
*Manage staff performance through supervision, coaching, and development reviews
*Conduct inductions and ongoing support for team members
*Identify and address underperformance, supporting the Service Manager with performance management processes
*Assist with recruitment of staff and volunteers
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with commissioners and external service providers
*Represent the organisation and promote its services and values
Operational & Financial Management
*Support the management of the service budget
*Ensure effective resource allocation within the service
Professional Practice & Development
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the alcohol, drug, and gambling fields
*Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development
*Attend meetings, training sessions, and relevant events
