Job Description:
Full job descriptionI am currently recruiting for an Estates Coordinator to support a well-established organisation within the education sector during an exciting period of development.
This is an exciting time to join the organisation and work closely alongside the Estates Manager, collaborating on process improvements, streamlining procedures and identifying new ways to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness across the organisation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute new ideas and play an active role in helping the estates function continue to develop and improve.
This is also very much a training-focused role for someone who is keen to learn and develop within elements of finance, estates and facilities management. You will receive full support from the Estates Manager, with the opportunity to learn on the job, build your knowledge and develop your skillset over time. This role is being offered on a 6-month temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of estates operations across the site, coordinating maintenance and facilities activities, liaising with contractors and internal departments, and helping to maintain a safe, efficient and well-organised environment for staff, students and visitors.
The role will require a proactive and personable individual who is confident managing multiple priorities while delivering a high level of service across the organisation.
Key duties will include:
*Supporting the Estates Manager with day-to-day coordination
*Assisting with process improvements and streamlining existing procedures
*Raising purchase orders and monitoring associated spend
*Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register
*Managing and reviewing asset information and records
*Setting up and maintaining spreadsheets to support reporting and tracking
*Developing and improving administrative processes across the department
*Coordinating maintenance schedules and contractor activities
*Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
*Supporting health & safety and compliance administration where required
Key skills and experience required:
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential)
*Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data and record keeping
*Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*Willingness to learn and develop within an estates/facilities environment
*A proactive and flexible approach to problem solving
*Previous experience in administration, facilities or coordination roles (desirable but not essential)
This role offers flexible working hours, with some potential for hybrid working depending on business needs. The organisation promotes a healthy work-life balance and is open to discussing flexible arrangements to suit the right candidate.
This position offers the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team environment within a respected educational organisation that can provide long-term stability, excellent training and genuine development opportunities for the right individual.
