Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer based in Poole, Dorset:
*Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
*Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
*Work closely with teams on integrated product development
*Create and maintain technical documentation
*Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding production methods and materials
*Prototype, test and validate new product designs
*Support transition from R&D into manufacturing
*Contribute to product improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
What we’re looking for:
What we’re looking for in this Mechanical Design Engineer in Poole, Dorset:
*Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
*Strong experience in mechanical product design
*Proficiency in SolidWorks
*Understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, CNC machining and fabrication
*Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
