About the role
Ambition is working with one of the most respected firms in the region to recruit talented and ambitious Audit Seniors for their growing audit team. This role is ideal for a recently qualified auditor who wants to develop their experience and progress in a supportive environment.
Our client is a well-established, nationally recognised professional services firm with a strong local presence and access to an extensive global network. With a growing Audit function and an ambitious, collaborative team culture, they’re looking for a talented Audit Senior to join them, primarily based in the Kent region.
You’ll work across a diverse and varied portfolio of corporate, listed, and owner-managed businesses spanning multiple sectors, supported by experienced Managers, Directors, and Partners who are invested in your development. From day one, you’ll be trusted with real responsibility and given every opportunity to progress quickly.
What you’ll be doing
*Serving as the primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted, professional working relationships
*Supporting the planning, execution, and finalisation of audit assignments, identifying areas of judgement and providing well-considered solutions for manager or partner review
*Producing high-quality work and clear reporting, highlighting issues and offering potential recommendations
*Preparing and presenting Audit Findings Reports, identifying improvements to clients’ business processes
*Monitoring progress against budget and proactively communicating any variances to the manager
*Leading and coaching junior team members on client sites, sharing knowledge and providing on-the-job guidance
*Applying a thorough understanding of audit risk and accounting technical matters throughout all client work
*Contributing to business development activity by identifying opportunities to add further value for clients
*Participating in service line, office, and firm-wide activities, with occasional support across UK offices as needed
What we’re looking for
*ACA, ACCA, or CA or equivalent qualified
*Experience leading audits from planning to completion in the UK
*Right to work

*Experience working with listed or owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors
*Exposure to business development or client relationship management activity
*A demonstrated interest in mentoring or developing more junior colleagues
