Macildowie are working with this client based in Rugby to recruit a Finance Manager to support a growing, project-led organisation operating within the engineering and infrastructure sector.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving financial governance, reporting integrity, operational finance, and commercial support across a busy project environment. Working closely with senior operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring robust financial controls, supporting large-scale projects, and enabling informed commercial decision-making.
This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys operating within a commercially focused, operational environment and is comfortable balancing financial control with business partnering responsibilities.
The RoleAs Finance Manager, you will take ownership of financial governance across Rugby operations, ensuring robust controls, reporting accuracy, and effective oversight of financial performance across multiple projects.
You will work collaboratively with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, project reporting, and financial analysis, while also providing leadership to the finance function and continuous improvement across systems and processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Leading financial governance and ensuring robust controls and compliance across operations
*Supporting project financial reporting, month-end reviews, and reconciliations
*Providing financial analysis, forecasting, and commercial insight to support operational decisions
*Managing annual budgets and rolling forecasts across operational projects
*Supporting tendering and commercial bid activity with financial input and cost modelling
*Overseeing cashflow forecasting, payment approvals, and financial transaction integrity
*Driving improvements across financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
*Providing leadership and support to the Finance Administrator
About YouWe are keen to speak with professionally qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial reporting, management accounts, and financial control within a project-led or operational environment.
You will ideally bring:
*Experience operating at Finance Manager level within a complex business environment
*Strong management accounting and reporting experience
*Previous experience supporting operational or project-based businesses
*Experience leading or supervising finance teams
*Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
*A commercially minded approach with the ability to influence operational stakeholders
Exposure to engineering, construction, technical, or infrastructure-led businesses would be advantageous.
