Full job descriptionA leading UK-based retail organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its finance team based in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business in a hands-on tax role with broad exposure across UK corporate taxes.
As Tax Accountant, you will be:
*Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns, including supporting computations and disclosures.
*Managing VAT compliance, including preparation and review of VAT returns.
*Supporting tax reporting for month-end and year-end processes.
*Assisting with tax audits and responding to information requests.
*Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing the impact on the business.
*Providing tax support to wider finance and commercial teams as required.
Requirements:
*ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
*Proven experience in corporation tax and VAT within industry or practice.
*Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
*Ability to communicate tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
