Full job descriptionEventus Legal are seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join one of Leicestershire’s most highly regarded law firms, based out of modern commercial offices in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This is a permanent, full time Criminal Defence opportunity giving exposure to high quality Criminal Defence and Regulatory matters. Role Responsibilities
As an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor your new role will see you working as part of a highly regarded Criminal department, where your caseload will be truly varied and you’ll have exposure to myriad Driminal Defence and professional conduct matters.
Specific duties will include:
*Take responsibility for your own caseload of legal aid and privately funded work
*Police Station and Magistrate Court representation as well as Crown Court preparation
*Maintain confidentiality and deliver professional client care
*Keep up to date with criminal law, legislation, and court procedures
*Liaise with barristers, expert witnesses, courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement agencies
Person Specification
Applications are sought from experienced Criminal Defence Solicitors across Leicestershire who have demonstrative experience within dealing with Criminal Defence matters, both legal aid and privately funded.
You will also have:
*A minimum of 1 years’ experience although all PQE levels are considered for this role
*Prior experience dealing with Criminal Defence matters
*Ideally be a qualified Duty Solicitor
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Ability to work independently
*Confident IT user with experience of case management systems.
