About the Opportunity
A leading UK organisation with a large national property portfolio is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding in-house property team. This is a key commercial role supporting major refurbishments, new developments and ongoing capital projects across a diverse estate.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing accurate cost intelligence and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Producing accurate construction budgets for development and refurbishment projects
*Preparing monthly cost reports to monitor capital expenditure
*Managing final accounts and reporting to finance teams
*Analysing historic cost data to improve future budget accuracy
*Leading tendering and procurement processes, including large maintenance contracts
*Advising Project Managers on valuations, variations, contract issues and final accounts
*Supporting a national property portfolio with occasional UK travel
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in Quantity Surveying within contractor or consultancy environments
*Strong understanding of the built environment and commercial construction
*Experience with JCT contracts, procurement, estimating and cost reporting
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
*Strong analytical and financial capability
*RICS membership is advantageous but not essential
*Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc Hons) or equivalent
