Full job descriptionAbout the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and customer-focused Parts Van Sales Representative to join a progressive and growing organisation within the construction and industrial equipment sector.
This is a customer-facing role, ideal for an energetic and commercially minded individual with experience in parts sales, customer relationship management, and territory-based account development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with both new and existing customers, promoting parts solutions, and ensuring excellent levels of customer service throughout the territory.
We are looking for a high-calibre, motivated individual with a proactive "can-do" attitude who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
Main Responsibilities*Build strong and positive relationships with both new and existing customers
*Develop and maintain knowledge of customer operations, requirements, and technical setups
*Promote and deliver a wide range of machinery and equipment parts within a defined territory to achieve sales targets
*Respond to customer requests and ensure timely delivery of parts
*Accurately complete customer call sheets and maintain up-to-date customer records
*Provide excellent customer service and consistently exceed customer expectations
*Identify customer needs and offer suitable product solutions
*Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and management teams
*Complete all parts-related administration accurately and within required timescales
*Contribute positively to team success through collaboration and effective communication
*Provide relevant reporting and updates to management
*Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and company policies
*Undertake any additional duties reasonably required to fulfil the role
Skills & Experience Required*Proven experience in a Parts Sales role within the construction, plant, industrial, agricultural, automotive, or related sectors
*Strong commercial awareness and excellent customer problem-solving skills
*Ability to understand customer buying behaviours and requirements
*Experience in sales call planning, account management, and forecasting
*Strong consultative sales and questioning skills with a proven ability to achieve successful outcomes
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

*Reliable, trustworthy, professional, and well organised
*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
*Customer focused with a positive and flexible attitude
*Strong communication skills across all levels, both in person and over the telephone
*Full UK driving licence with a good driving record essential
*Fork Lift Truck licence desirable but not essential

*Uncapped commission structure (5%) with realistic OTE up to £35,000
