Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Contracts Legal Counsel to join a major UK infrastructure organisation on one of the country’s most complex and high-profile projects. Based in Birmingham with hybrid working, this role offers exposure to major projects, NEC contracts and senior stakeholder engagement within a collaborative in-house legal team.

Description
The Construction Contracts Legal Counsel will be:*Providing legal advice on high-value NEC construction and infrastructure contracts
*Supporting procurement, commercial and supply chain teams on major projects work
*Advising on contractual claims, disputes and risk allocation matters
*Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and funding arrangements
*Managing external legal counsel where required and supporting key stakeholder decision making
Profile
The Construction Contracts Legal Counsel should be:*A solicitor or barrister with strong construction and commercial contracts experience
*Experienced advising on NEC contracts within infrastructure, construction or major projects environments
*Experienced working either in-house or in private practice supporting major UK projects
*Comfortable managing complex stakeholder relationships across commercial and procurement teams
*Experienced handling contractual claims, procurement and risk management matters
