This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working closely with a varied client base while developing their technical skills across cloud accounting, statutory accounts, and advisory support. The Accounts Semi Senior role would suit someone studying towards ACA or ACCA, or an experienced practice professional looking to further their career within a modern Accountancy environment.
Based in London, this position offers exposure to a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and entrepreneurial clients across multiple sectors.
What you’ll be doing:
*Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for a wide range of clients
*Assisting with management accounts, VAT returns, and cash flow reporting
*Supporting managers and senior staff with client portfolio work
*Working extensively with cloud-based accounting software including Xero
*Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
*Supporting digital accounting processes and cloud migration projects
*Assisting with bookkeeping and financial reporting assignments where required
*Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met efficiently
What we’re looking for:
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
*Experience preparing accounts for a variety of businesses and client types
*Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting platforms
*Exposure to software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar packages
*Studying towards ACA or ACCA, or qualified through practical experience
*Good communication skills and a proactive approach to client service
*Organised, motivated, and able to manage workload effectively
*A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the Accountancy sector
