Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts & Business Advisory Manager to join a growing professional services team based in Ipswich.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on combining technical expertise with client-facing advisory work, and who is passionate about leading teams, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality financial insight.
You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of accounts, guiding junior team members, and providing valuable commercial advice to help businesses grow.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact
*Leading the preparation and review of year-end accounts and financial statements
*Delivering insightful financial advice, including cashflow forecasting and performance analysis
*Building strong, long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
*Managing workflow, deadlines, and team capacity to ensure timely delivery
*Coaching and developing junior team members
*Monitoring WIP and billing to support commercial performance
*Driving improvements in processes, systems, and efficiencies

Core Skills & Experience
*Strong background in accounts preparation and business advisory
*Proven experience managing client relationships independently
*Ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful commercial insights
*Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Technical Expertise
*Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated accounts
*Strong understanding of cashflow forecasting and financial projections
*Knowledge of working capital analysis and key ratios
*Awareness of VAT treatments, including partial exemption and reverse charge
*Ability to identify accounting issues and recommend solutions
*ACA / ACCA / CA qualified, or qualified by experience
