Job Overview
We are seeking Sourcing Specialist to support material planning, procurement, supplier management, and inventory optimization activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


The successful candidate will be responsible for managing MRP requirements, purchase orders, supplier communications, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence and strong customer delivery performance.


Key Responsibilities
*Evaluate and execute MRP requirements while generating and adjusting purchase orders to support demand levels.
*Manage supplier quotations, place purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and PO-related issues.
*Maintain accurate ERP system records, transactions, and inventory data integrity.
*Communicate forecast requirements to suppliers while building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
*Monitor and report supplier performance metrics related to quality, delivery, and cost.
*Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and Operations teams to resolve supplier and material-related issues.
*Support inventory optimization initiatives including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and supplier consignment stock programs.
*Expedite and de-expedite materials as required to align with production demand and inventory targets.
*Ensure timely resolution of shipping discrepancies, receiving issues, invoice mismatches, and open PO adjustments.
*Drive reduction of excess and obsolete inventory while supporting part rationalization activities.
*Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping initiatives focused on improving quality, delivery, cost, and operational efficiency.
*Provide supply chain support for new product introduction (NPI), subcontracting opportunities, and proposal development activities.
*Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure responsiveness to customer requirements and operational priorities.
Required Skills & Experience:-
*Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Planning, or Purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, LN, Epicor, or similar platforms.
*Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory planning activities.
*Knowledge of forecasting, expediting, inventory control, and supplier performance management.
*Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
*Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience within Aerospace, Defense, Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive, or Electronics industries.
*Knowledge of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and consignment stock processes.
*Exposure to Operational Excellence initiatives and supply chain optimization projects.
