Job Description:
Full job descriptionJoin a fast-paced, multi-site entertainment business as an Assistant Accountant, taking ownership of weekly trading, reconciliations, and reporting while partnering closely with venue managers to drive performance. This is a commercially focused role where you’ll go beyond processing to provide insights on revenue, costs, and operational efficiencies across multiple venues.

Description
*Assist with preparing financial statements and management accounts.
*Support the team with reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts.
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
*Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
*Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
*Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
*Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*Strong grounding in finance with experience in reconciliations and revenue reporting
*Confident working across purchase ledger, credit control, and payroll support
*Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivots, lookups, handling large datasets)
*Commercially minded with the ability to spot trends, inefficiencies, and variances
*Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
*Confident communicator, able to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
*Experience in a multi-site, hospitality, or operational business is highly desirable but not required
