Full job descriptionLocum Social Worker - Preparing for Adulthood (LDA) TeamHybrid Working | 2-3 Days Office-Based | Complex Case WorkWe are recruiting for an experienced Locum Social Worker to join a Preparing for Adulthood (PFA) Learning Disability & Autism (LDA) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a practitioner confident in complex adult social care work, court processes, and multi-agency collaboration.You will hold a caseload of 15-20 complex cases, including:*Court of Protection (Welfare) work
*Deprivation of Liberty (DoL/DoLS/DoLics) cases
*Working closely with MDTs to complete Dynamic Support Register (DSR) responsibilities
*Contributing to holistic Preparing for Adulthood planning
Responsibilities*Manage complex LDA/PFA cases independently and confidently
*Undertake thorough assessments and reviews
*Prepare high-quality reports for CoP Welfare matters
*Lead and participate in MDT meetings, including DSR discussions
*Work collaboratively with health partners, families, and wider services
*Ensure person-centred, strength-based planning to support transitions into adulthood
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:*Strong LDA/PFA background
*Confident in managing complex cases and navigating CoP/DoL processes
*Excellent assessment, risk management, and multi-agency working skills
*SWE registration and relevant social care qualification
