The legal function plays a critical role in supporting major commercial and procurement decisions across the business. Lawyers within the team work closely with senior operational and executive stakeholders on high-value, strategically important matters within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Description
The Senior Construction Legal Counsel will be:*Leading on complex NEC construction and infrastructure contract matters across major projects
*Advising senior commercial and procurement stakeholders on contractual risk and strategy
*Supporting the negotiation of high-value construction, funding and supply chain agreements
*Advising on contractual claims, disputes and risk allocation issues
*Managing external legal advisers and supporting key business decision making on strategically significant matters
Profile
The Senior Construction Legal Counsel should be:*A solicitor or barrister with significant construction and commercial contracts experience
*Highly experienced advising on NEC contracts within infrastructure, transport or major projects environments
*Experienced supporting high-value procurement and commercial negotiations
*Comfortable operating as a senior legal adviser to executive and operational stakeholders
*Experienced managing complex contractual risk, disputes and stakeholder relationships
