Full job descriptionWe’re working with a live promotions music group who are looking for a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance function across day-to-day transactional finance, supplier payments, reconciliations and month-end processes in a fast-paced, creative environment!


Responsibilities:
*Processing invoices for operational costs and managing weekly payment runs
*Processing artist and talent invoices relating to festivals and live events, including managing associated payment runs
*Maintaining AP and AR ledgers, including supplier statement reconciliations and resolving invoicing queries
*Sharing remittances with suppliers and external partners
*Performing bank reconciliations
*Supporting month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting into the Group consolidation system
*Assisting with overseas withholding tax matters relating to festival artists
*Supporting the maintenance and improvement of financial controls and reporting accuracy
*Working closely with colleagues across finance and wider business teams to ensure accurate financial information is provided
*Supporting ad-hoc reporting and finance projects as required


Requirements:


*Previous experience within a bookkeeping or finance assistant role, with strong AP ledger experience
*AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience
*Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
*Experience using Xero would be advantageous
*Experience within the hospitality, entertainment or live events sector would be beneficial, though not essential
