An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Management Accountant to join a commercially driven finance function on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact, supporting a busy division through a key period.


The Role


Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, along with clear insight into business performance. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
*Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with strict group deadlines
*Deliver variance analysis and commentary to explain financial performance
*Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly
*Support the budgeting and forecasting process
*Provide accurate profit reporting and performance analysis
*Assist with audit requirements and liaise with external auditors
*Complete VAT returns and support statutory reporting
*Contribute to process improvements within finance
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a complex or multi-entity environment
*Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with experience working across multiple systems
*High attention to detail with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
*Self-motivated, organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively
*Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-moving environment
